The Runaway Days are a four piece neo folk rock band based in Torpoint, Cornwall, just across the Tamar River from Plymouth. They are the product of what happens when individuals with passion and belief in the things they create, are brought together to craft songs into being. The bands music is unique, thought provoking and carries a genuine message which most people will relate to.

They are lyrically dextrous, instrumentally driven and their music has its roots firmly planted in folk. However it is easy to see that they have been influenced by a great number of different artists and genres such as Pink Floyd, Kris Kristofferson, Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash. Whilst their childhoods were spent listening to Bon Jovi and heavier bands that have given them a rockier edge than most traditional folk groups. But truly, comparisons really can not be drawn, their music is intriguingly fresh and always leaves you wanting more.

As you would expect each member of The Runaway Days have there own views and tastes. When they threw all of that into the mixing pot they came up with their own fresh sound that they all love. There is no one specific song writer in the group and all like to get creative, which leads to an end result that is posativly The Runaway Days.

The Runaway Days have a fast growing list of approximately 30 original songs and are working towards recording them all. The group have been in a studio (Deep Blue Sound, in Plymouth) from August the 1st to the 10th, recording their first album which is aimed to be release before the end of 2006.
